Today was my long day at work, but it means an I get off early tomorrow. Yeah! It was an awesome day at work today. I have the best boss ever! Today, there wasn't much for me to do, so she let me go decorate with Caitlin. That really made my day go by so much faster.
About 2 the bosses got back from their meeting, so I had to go back to work. Bummer! The rest of the day went by pretty fast.
When we got home I went to the Y to sign back up. Jerry was soooo nice. He hooked me up with an awesome personal trainer. Can't wait. I want her to kick my butt. I have 22 pounds to lose by February 2 in order to win my bet at work.
After I went to the Y I went to Dillons to pick-up some refried beans for dinner. Now let me tell you, I hate grocery shopping. Hate everything about it. It was actually a pleasant experience. I got a parking spot, walked in, got the beans, checked out without having to wait, got in my car and left. Wow, it was amazing. I was so amazed because the store is under construction and so it has less parking and the store is tore-up.
Now Nolan is staying with Grandma tonight. James has to take him to the doctor tomorrow morning, and it works out better for him to pick Nolan up at mom's. It is pretty close to work so he can go with me in the morning, pick-up Nolan and take him to the doctor, drop him back of at grandma's and go back to work.

Yesterday scared the crap out of me. I called home on my break like usual to check on Nolan. My mom answers the phone and I can hear Poison Control or 911 on the phone talking to her. The dispatcher was saying she needed to call their on-call doctor and we might have to take him to the hospital. I tell my boss I have to leave and then I go tell James to follow me and don't ask any questions.
We get home and I talk with Poison control. Nolan had eaten Icy Hot, which I guess contains a lot of aspirin. A teaspoon is toxic to a 3 year old. We have no idea how much he ate, so James and I made the decision to watch him for the signs that the dispatcher told me.
I called my awesome boss, and she told me I could stay home with him the rest of the day. We took a nap together and everything turned out fine, but it is a very scary situation.
Today I did the usual. I went to work and it seemed to go by so slow. I don't know why, but days definitely have not flown by for me there.
James decided to go the the doctor today after playing football on Sunday. He hasn't been able to walk very well since and is a lot of pain. Hopeful he doesn't have any serious injuries. I am waiting for him to get home now. I will probably have to cook dinner. Dinner is definitely his thing. I don't remember if I have ever cooked pork chops. He told me how, but I don't know how they will turn out.
Well, I am off to do my supermom duties.

So today was so funny. James get a phone call at work, and of course I am wondering who the heck could be calling him. Well, he came into the office and told me to guess. It was Nolan! He said that our receptionist answered the phone and he said "Hello." She said,"Do you need to talk to someone," and he said,"I need to talk my daddy." WTH? My 3 year old just called our work at asked for James. Our receptionist said,"Is this Nolan?" He said, "Yeah." How in the world she knew it was him I have no idea. Well, he did talk to his daddy. James honestly thought my mom dialed the phone for him, but she didn't. The only thing I can think of is that he hit the caller ID and pressed talk and it just redialed the number. To Funny.
I picked-up my new glasses today. I like them, but boy are they totally different. They have nose pieces that will take some getting used to.
I also learned that it will be the cruise that I could win. I am sad that she eliminated the Hawaii trip, but the cruise would be great to have. My boss and I will have a great time if I win. 7 days in warm weather, no child, no husband and two girls with a balcony room upgrade, priceless.

So today I got up early to go to work at 6 instead of 7. Needless to say, I didn't quite make it there on time, but pretty close. I am so not used to getting up that early.
I was on my way home and decided to take a different route because I wanting to pick-up my prescription up at my eye Dr.'s. I got stuck in traffic, then got stuck forever by a train. Grrr...
I had this brilliant idea to take Nolan to get Ratatoulle and pick out some new glasses since I haven't had new ones in 6 years. Nolan was so naughty today it wasn't even funny.
When we got home he dumped some spices out all over the floor, went to the pantry when I was cleaning that up and dumped hot chocolate on the floor, kicked James and unplugged the tv. I don't know what has gotten into him today. He is not getting to watch his new movie tonight.
It is a little after 8 and I am tired. I am ready to go to bed, but I better spend some time with James. Even though we work at the same place, we don't really get any "us" time. We do have a 30 minute lunch, but it is hurry up and eat. There is no time for conversation.

My first post

Today is my first official post. I am creating this blog to keep in touch with people and to have one location of where all the blogs I visit are located.
Today we are having our company picnic at All Star Sports. It is going to be beautiful. Nolan and I will be competing to see who can win at mini-golf. I was a pro when I was pregnant with him, so he does stand a chance.
Yesturday I did so much laundry. There is so much that it has spilled over to today. Grrr... a weekend of laundry.
