What? I Read?

You bet your sweet ass I do.....and I do it all. The. Time. I do it so much that I created a site just for all of my book reviews. I am already posting to Goodreads and straight to the author, so why not put it up on my own site too. I can hopefully reach more people that way then someone randomly discovering me on Goodreads. That site is HUGE!

Anyways, over at Chapter Break I have more of this hottie. I'm trying to get Mr. Westin noticed so he can be a cover model for one my Indie Authors that are all the rage right now.
Now, if you enjoying reading books, you might be interested in heading over to my book blog. I read almost all Romance, and New Adult Romance, but have been known to read Dystopian and YA books too.
So, if you like authors similar to E.L. James, Colleen Hoover, Abbie Glines, Jennifer McGuire, Kendall Ryan,  J. Kenner (claim me, release me) or Molly McAdams, send yourself over to my book blog and check it out. It is very virginal, but it's getting there.
Since there isn't a ton of content that leaves you plenty of time to stare at Westin's body. Isn't he dreamy? I have a whole lot more of them over at Chapter Break and I have a link on the site where you can listen to his music too.
Girls, get your butts over to www.chapterbreak.com like now!

Release Me | Book Review

I was a bit wary going into this book thinking it was "another" one of those books. You know, that mega popular one. Well, it was, but it was so good.
I can't put my finger on what made this so good. There wasn't angst. Okay, maybe just a teeny tiny bit, but not the, we're-gonna-breakup-and-how-can-we-get-back-together angst.
I felt the characters were relatable and the situation could possibly happen. I also like the character flaw in the heroine. Definitely a different issue than "we" see in typical romance books.
There wasn't any eye rolling things in this one. Just a good, dare I say, dependable read. I like enough to eagerly awake book number 2.

Cricut Craft Room

I think it is wonderful that Provo Craft has made Cricut Craft Room free to those of us with Cricuts. I don't have to buy a gypsy, I just have to have a usb cable and link it up with my Cricut.
The bad news is that you have to actually have the cartridge to cut the files, and you can't use .svg files like the cool silhouette people.
The good news is that I have been making my own cut files using the Studio Basics that is loaded into Cricut Craftroom and George and Basic Shapes. What does this mean for you? Well, if you have a Cricut and have downloaded and installed Cricut Craftroom, you can use my files because everyone has those. George & Basic Shapes came with the Cricut and your Studio Basics came when you downloaded the program. You can download the file I supply, open them in the program and cut! Sweet huh?
Well, here is one I'm providing to you for free today. Next month is Valentines and it is just a good all around great statement.

Here is the file for you. Please let me know if you would like to see more.

2013 journaling cards

I created these for my project life. I included the download link if you are interested in using them. I am only including a jpeg file this time. No png.

Super great hair day

I fully admit I scraplifted this layout, but I'm not sure who to give credit to. I printed the image out a long time ago. All of the product is by echo park. It is their everyday eclectic line.

Books Read in 2012

Completed this pages last night. So, these are almost all the books I read in 2012. I didn't add any of the smutty books read, which were many. I'm keeping those titles to myself.
I used Amanda Heinmann "these words" kit and Cathy Zielske's Template No 23, the never list.

A few of my very favorites this year have nice little pictures of the covers. These are must reads people. Must reads I tell you.

Hopeless

Product Details

I have been reading the awesomely, wonderful beautiful read and finished it up last night. Let me just say the Colleen Hoover has hit it out of the freakin' park for the third time. I'm not sure how she topped Slammed and Point of Retreat, but she sure as hell did.
What's this book about you ask?  Here's the little blurb from Amazon:

"Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies...

That's what Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she's never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he's nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn't at all who he's been claiming to be. When the secrets he's been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky's life will change forever.

When they say that every single facet of Sky's life will change forever, boy do they mean it. This book hooked me from the very beginning. Lots of times books need to find their rhythm and cadence, but Hopeless started out strong.
I was sitting on the couch last night when I got to a major turning point in the story. I sat up and told my husband, "This shit just got interesting."
One thing I loved in the book was the reference to The Sea of Tranquility. What's that you ask? Well, it is something in the stars, but it is also a most wonderful, exceptional, on my top reads of the year if not ever book I read. Every single word that each of these authors wrote were absolutely amazing and well thought out.
I wish I could give them more accolades and shout it from the rooftops that everyone read this book.....and The Sea of Tranquility. Please do us and yourself a favor and go buy this book.

I got two digital layouts done today? No freakin' way. This page is part of a challenge from One Little Bird Designs. I used her free layout (for a limited time) and most of the papers/elements are from her Epic collaboration. I did use the Polar Grid Stamp overlay from her Narrative line. I felt like this layout screamed for it to be on it.

Magic The Gathering

Worked on this lovely little gem today. I think this may be my favorite layout to date. Supplies used are One Little Bird: Narrative kit & Shadows and Darcy Baldwin/Megan Mullens: 100 days of Summer template.

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

I received this beautiful NYC eyeshadow compact from influenster, for free, to give an honest review. It sells for $4.99 at chain drugstores nationwide

Essential Facts: Straight from the city that never sleeps, NYC New York Color offers products with uptown style at down-to-earth prices, from $.99 - $4.99. The energy, style, and color of New York City shines through the wide range of shades, textures and innovative products. NYC always delivers the most on-trend products & shades hot off the runway!

My opinion: I have used this compact for several different applications. I used the black to set my son's zombie makeup for Halloween and it did a fantastic job. I have used the illuminator  as a highlighter on my cheeks. It does a fabulous job giving you the "glow."
My only complaint about this little compact is the eyeshadow primer. For me, it caused my shadow to crease almost immediately. It stayed very greasy on my lid and never really dried. I think maybe that is the reason for the creasing.
Overall, I really like this product. It is a great little palette to give you that smoky eye effect.

Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle

Thanks to Influenster, I received my free Bath & Body works mini candle in the mail in their cool beauty box to try out.

Bath & Body Works Mini Candles

I received a 4oz Pumpkin Cupcake as my scent to try. What can I say about this little candle? Umm....it smells delicious!
I had to convince my husband to let me burn it because he is not a huge fan of anything fall smelling. However, once it was lit, he even said it smelled good. Score!
We burn them for 4-5 hours on average and it lasted a few days. There is still some wax at the bottom that didn't/work burn because the wick stopped, but hey, what do you expect?
If you want more information on their lovely fragrances available right now, go to www.bathandbodyworks.com
Costs for candles: Mini Candle $3.50; Small Candle $9.50; Medium Candle $12.50; 3-Wick Candle $19.50
Tip: To get that last little bit of your candle, use a candle warmer!
