It's been awhile
Well, my birthday has come and gone. It was a pretty nice day. I went to work. It is the first birthday I have ever worked. I got a great gift from my co-workers to Scrapfunattic. My husband was also sweet and got me some beautiful flowers. I just love the crystal detail on the bow.

Then towards the middle of the week Nolan got sick. Like usual, he puked all over James. One thing you must know, Nolan gets very frequently. He has lots of allergies and asthma, so this is pretty common in our household.

Then, Nolan got a swing set this last weekend. It has been so windy and rainy that it is still mostly in pieces in the garage. The instructions say it takes between 6-12 hours to put the thing together. OMG!!
He was such a big help taking all of the pieces out of the package in the truck.

I thought it was so cute that he went and got his Bob The Builder hammer and was helping Daddy put it together.

This week has been full of lots of emotions here in the Brown house. I have been scrapping to get it all out. Nolan has been more sensitive than he has ever been and I just seem to be in a funk that I can't shake.
I enrolled in college to start my graphics design degree. I start that on the 23rd. It is an accelerated degree and since I have tons of previous college, I should be able to complete it pretty quickly.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the week. Tomorrow night I am going to see the funniest man I have every seen, Katt Williams. If a lot of cursing does not bother you and you have an easy going personality, check him out.

Start of a new week

So this weekend went pretty well. Nolan and I went to the park down the street on Friday after work. It has the awesome zero depth water park. We played in the water, swung on the swing, played in the water some more and played some catch. I found these awesome velco paddle gloves that catch a tennis ball. Nolan and I played with that for about 30 minutes, which to a toddler is quite some time.
After the park, we did our usual dinner at Denny's and came home for a late bedtime. James and I stayed up way to late, but enjoyed some time together.

Saturday James finished up my laundry room. It is soooo awesome. I am totally lovin' it. We also took some donations to the Goodwill that have been hangin' out in our garage for quite some time.

Today was definitely a busy day. I finished up laundry, which was an all day endeavor, cleaned out the kitchen utensil drawer, the silverware drawer, straightened up the Tupperware cabinet and cleaned off the top of the fridge.
Hope everyone has an awesome week. Tomorrow is my birthday and I have to work. boooo! The big 28!! I think we will keep it simple and do dinner or something. My laundry room was the best birthday present, along with the massage. Kuddos for James!!!

So, this is what happens when you have a 3 year old and you can't use the bathroom or take a shower by yourself. Does this look familiar to anyone?

James and I have been planning a day together for almost 2 months. Well, Friday was the day. We took off work to spend all day together. Nolan went to the sitters, so it was just the two of us. We slept in late, he woke me up and we went to Denny's for brunch. Had some fab french toast (Denny's has the best,) then he told me he had a surprise for me. Well, he took me to Healing Water's Spa for a couples massage. I'm such a lucky girl. It was wonderful. If you know anything about us, you know that my husband suffers from back spasms and just had an MRI done today. Well, I think this massage (and anyone that he has had so far) was a mugging to him. I find his tattoo in this picture rather fitting, don't ya think? They told him he would feel so much better in a day or two, well it is Wednesday and he is still sore as can be. We will see what the MRI says hopefully tomorrow. Cross your fingers for something physical. You're probably wondering why we are hoping that. Well, if it isn't, then why is he having such debilitating pain? It literally brings him to his knees. Okay, on with the story!

So, we get home and we decide to take Nolan to Red Robin. Yum. The bird gave him a high five, and he said. "That's a cool bird." So adorable. I didn't get a picture with him and the bird, but hey, I'm trying to get more pictures of us, so I'm happy. Red Robin had a free car show that night, so here are a couple of awesome cars we seen.

Can anyone say, "Bumblebee?" Ya know, from Transformers, which happens to be one of my movies I thoroughly enjoy.

Love this interior. Orange rocks. Oh, the orange is really orange, not a red orange. Such a cool print.

A car after my own heart. Need I say more?

This weekend's project was to paint the laundry room, put a clothes folding table and a couple of shelves. Here is the awesome color we picked. We bought a black granite style (laminate) counter top and Lowes for my folding table. We are going to replace the trim with white trim and still have to put some vinyl flooring in.
From the hail storm yesterday. OMG. We got caught driving in it. That is pretty scary. The hail is the size of ping pong balls. Those are just a couple of pictures from the past week. Well, from Friday on. Everyone enjoy their week and wohoo, it's a short work week.

Time to update

So, I got to sleep in a little this morning. James and Nolan fixed me some pancakes and turkey bacon for breakfast. Super Yummy!! Katrina had to work today, so we were on sitting duty. It wasn't a very laid back day, but it was beautiful none the less. Nolan and I napped together, played together and then James grilled out for us. We had some yummy bbq chicken, corn on the cob and watermelon.
Not much else has been happening. I haven't been able to scrap in awhile. I really need to. I could use the therapy. I bought the Pagemaps book and the new Lisa Bearnson book out at the Attic on Saturday.
I went to my sister-in-laws baby shower. Kinda uncomfortable since my mom and I were the only people we knew. Everyone else is super tight, so we stayed just long enough and we were out! Don't get me wrong, we like Jessica, but when you don't know anyone else, you feel very uncomfortable.
Really folks, there isn't much else going on. Have a great week!
