Ouch

Last night Nolan was climbing up on a chair and he missed a step. Well, I had my plastic filing box next to it and he cut his shin open, like a 2 1/2 inch cut down his shin. He really needed stitches, but I got the bleeding under control, so I decided to wait until today to take him in. This morning I took him to immediate care and they told me that they can't do stitches after 5 hours, so they used butterfly bandages. poor little guy.

Our Tree

Here is one of the first pictures of our Christmas tree. You can see that Nolan is taking a much needed rest!!

I found this really cool idea to use bokah and my camera to make lights different shapes. I cut out a star shape and covered my camera lens with it to create star lights on the tree. Pretty neat, huh?

So, here is what we have been up to since I last blogged. We got our Christmas tree. Not the best picture, but I haven't had that perfect moment yet where everything clicks to capture the beauty of it.....do you know what I mean? Last year I captured our tree and it looked purely magical. I don't know if it was because it was taken on Christmas Eve, but it was truly beautiful.

It snowed the other day. I know some of you that read this blog have had lots of snow.....we're talking feet for you gals, but this is all we got.....flurries, but I'll take 'em.

So I stared my December daily that Ali Edwards has inspired us to do. This picture started Dec 1. This is my favorite Christmas decoration. I got it when I worked at the Kansas Heart Hospital from one of the doctors and Nolan was showing it off. He hates his picture taken, so I will play by his rules!! :)
I think he did an awesome job with his letter to Santa. He has a hard time with his "s"'s, but hey, he just turned 4. He asked Santa for a Nerf catch ball....which translates to the Nerf cosmic catch game.

We went to my brothers house last night for dinner. This is what their living room looked like after we ate. Nolan had a great time playing with the legos while we all enjoyed each other's company.
Tonight Nolan and I are watching The Polar Express, which is my favorite Christmas movie.... I actually let Nolan touch my camera and he got a great shot of me.

I swear I can't get a picture of him lately with his tongue IN his mouth!! Oh well. It is capturing how he is right now.....an entertainer.
