As promised, some new pages that I have completed. The first one here, Nolan and Elayna had stolen the cereal bag out of the box, off of the counter. I was wondering why they were so quiet so I went looking and this is what I discovered:
Probably one of my favs so far. I used some Heidi Swapp paper and covered the chipboard bird with paper I made myself. I think it turned out really cute!
Katrina and I went to the Katt Williams stand-up. I haven't finished this one completely. I think I am going to put Katt Williams a cross the top of both pages and maybe do some strip journaling on the bottom left. I got some free fabric while at the Attic this last weekend. The red is almost like a mohair, and the blue is a shiny metallic fabric. I love how this one is coming together.
This one is cool because I got tons of pictures on 2 pages and it doesn't look totally cluttered. It is nice and linear, just the way I like it!
This isn't Nolan's first time at the movies, but he was so geaked about going to see Speed Racer that it was totally worth scrapping it.
Today is my anniversary, so Nolan and I decided to make cupcakes. These are vegan cupcakes, so Nolan can totally eat them. They taste really good. The only difference is they are just a tad bit heavier than normal cupcakes. Maybe denser is a better word. Still yummy. Nolan ate his is record time!
He really did help do everything but pour the batter and the whole oven work. This kid is a whiz at the microwave. A great way for them to learn their numbers!
Hope everyone is having an awesome day. Even though is was the three of us and not the two of us for dinner, we still at by candle light. Nolan was totally into it. Unfortunately, Nolan didn't want to eat or try and of his dinner except for the roll, so it was a whole hour of crying, whining and complaining until he finally ate his ham. This kid is so picky. We are trying to break this habit and it is a fit to the bitter end.

Moday
I am happy to announce that I have been headache free for 2 days! Yeah.... This may not seem like much of an accomplishment, but after the month+ struggle that I have had, two days are completely worth celebrating.
Friday my good friend Caitlin and I went out to the Attic to get down to some scrapbooking business. I got lots done and even seen someone Nolan and I went to Kindermusic with way back in 2005. It is so amazing how scrapbooking can bring two people together.
Saturday I slept pretty much all day. I think it was a catch up from all the medicine and just trying to recover from the headaches because on Sunday I was headache free.
I love the pages that I got done at the Attic and just need to take pictures to post. I have a few more that I really wanted to do, but it was much more fun to catch up with friends.
Tomorrow is my husband and I's anniversary. It will be 7 years together. It still amazes me that we don't argue much and haven't come to blows very often. We enjoy each other's company and would rather spend time at home with our family, than go somewhere else. Since it falls on a Tuesday, we will spend an evening at home with Nolan, as we would normally do. We have plans to go see the new Batman, "The Dark Knight" which we have both been drooling to see. I'm super excited!
Hope everyone has a great week. Be back in a day or so with some scrapbook page pictures!

A/C fixed!!
The Roth guy came out at 8 this morning. Looks like our fan motor when out, but our warranty covered parts and labor, so no expense for us. YEAH!!!! The house is currently 77, but compared to 85 I will take it.
I went to work today and our computers finally worked all day without crashing. Our servers crashed last Tuesday and it has been a rough week. We have had the senior engineers here trying to fix the darn thing. It's kinda hard to install 3 new servers and still try to keep your business up and running at the same time, so lots of ups and downs.
I went to the doctor today to discuss my headaches. My CT came back normal, which is a good thing. He thinks that I am having migraines, but they are located in my sinus areas, making it seem like it is a sinus infection. A study was done by the Mayo clinic of 100 people. The doctor diagnosed them as having sinus infections and wrote the antibiotics. Immediately those 100 people where given CT scans and only 5 came back positive for sinus infections. To accurately diagnose a sinus infection, you either need to do a swab or CT, which is painful and expensive. It seems as if migraines were the cause of the other 95 peoples problem, but diagnosed incorrectly. Don't get me wrong, I did have a sinus infection, the x-ray showed that, and they do happen often for people, but in this case the antibiotics worked and I was left with a lingering migraine that made me think it was still infected. My awesome doctor put me on anitryptaline (definately spelled wrong) which is categorized as an anti-depressant, but it would have to be given in a high dose to do its job. He is only giving me 25mg of this because it has shown its awesome ability to help the occasional migraine or other pain elsewhere in the body. I am only taking it for 30 days and he said within 10 I should be feeling awesome. I didn't want to do the whole migraine medication because I don't have headaches very often and they can be very costly. I'm not going to take something if I don't need it. I asked him if he thought the reoccurring sinus infections that I have been having could be migraines and he said yes. I guess you don't have to have extreme pain to have a migraine. It can feel like pressure, pain, pulsating and many other sensations. I learned a lot today.
There really isn't anything else going on in my world. Trying to stay cool in this heat and be a good Mom and Wife. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

A/C broken and CT scan update
So, right before I left work I decided to give the doctor a call. The test came back normal....so now to figure out why I have had a headache for 30 days......That will be tomorrow afternoon.
So, then I come home and my a/c outside is not on. It won't even turn on. It is 84 degree's in my house and counting. It is the hottest part of the day, so hopefully it won't get much hotter. Nolan and Sugar are outside playing in the sprinkler. Suger loves the sprinkler. I think she likes it more than Nolan. :)

The Fort is finally done-How many weeks later?
I have no idea, but it is finally done. Here are some pictures:
Nolan was so proud to show off his new fort.
At this point he is getting embarrassed about me taking pictures.
James trying to figure out the vague directions.
Nolan runs and gets my little camera that I have had forever and takes pictures with me. Here he is trying to capture Sheba's fur.
His way of braking. He kept asking me to stop him, and I told him he needs to figure it out, so this is what he came up with:
Slow down and jump off....not exactly what I had in mind, but I shouldn't tell a boy to figure it out either. :)
One of my favorites from the night:
We spend the weekend at home with mostly chores keeping us busy. We have a gas range and one thing I am anal about is trying to keep the grates under the burner clean and the actual range under the burners. Well, I let it get to bad when we first got it, so I have been trying and trying to get them clean. I wish I would have washed them weekly, if not daily to keep them from getting burned. The only thing that has been working is oven cleaner. I believe there is still hope. :) I worked on that a little this weekend, the fort and washed our bedding like usual. I did a few things that needed to be done, like the windows and dusted things that I probably should dust every week but don't get to it. Things like the top of your curtains and window sills. That sort of thing.
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Summer, hope you are finally moved! Kind of a hot and humid weekend to move, but it wasn't rain!!!! Bye, bye cheerio, hello beautiful house!

Do you like the new Blog?
I found this funky template while our computers were down at work today. Ugh...Blogger is such a pain to change the templates, but I like it.
We got Nolan into a different daycare today. A good friend of mine is a teacher and I got him into his classroom. Nolan has been begging to learn, and this is the place he needs to be. I was completely irked on Monday when I found out our current daycare provider let him watch/play Halo 3. Hello, he is 3 years old. That is an adult, mature video game. The new school is going to take some sacrifice on our part, but I think it will be good for him. All of the kids will be within his age group and it is educational. My friend did win teacher of the year, afterall....
Not much going on today. I go in for my CT scan tomorrow. I did find online that if you have the outpatient sinus "surger," there is an 80-90% success rate. Keep your fingers crossed. One way or another, this headache will go away.
Hope everyone has a good day. Enjoy the night.

Monday, Ugh....
Okay, I'm not Heidi Swapp and I do not love Mondays. It's a pretty cruddy Monday if that. Our computers were down almost all day at work (1 hour left) and that left for a very long day. I still have my mammoth headache that has not left my head. James called the dr. today and they are going to do a cat scan of my sinuses. There is no reason on the planet that I should still be sick....Two rounds of antibiotics in the last 20 days, including steroids should have me feeling high and dry, not low and wet. :) Moving on to something more positive.
My BFF came over today. I really haven't seen her since she moved out. We just layed in my bed and watch Dick, which was great because I really just needed a friend today. It was nice to talk to her and not think about the last 6 months that we lived together, now everything before she says it and here about all the drama day after day. This was completely new information (think pheobe from friends when she finds out Rachels pregnant.) Seriously, it was so nice not to "know" what is happening with her and just learn about it by being friends.....Does that make sense?
I'm wondering if I will be working tomorrow. My head is still killing me. I could really just need a down day to get my "umph" back.
I'm really not happy with my daycare lady today. My son is almost 4 and he was talking about Halo 3. What 3 year old should be watching/or participating in this video game. This is a daycare, not a teen rec center. There will be words tomorrow. He isn't even allowed to play with water guns. So not cool.....Before I say something I might regret, I'm going to let it go.
I hear that 70's Show is on. I think I will go check that out and help uplift my spirit.
Have a happy Tuesday everyone!

I'm a cleaning maniac today
Today I spent almost all of it cleaning. I did some awesome fun altered art last night for my good friend Caitlin, and it really made me feel good. I love having an awesome creative night. I wake up feeling so good. I will have to post pictures later.
I vacuumed all my furniture, inside and out today. I know this is something that I do often, but I really did it hard core today. I cleaned the carpet in the hallway. That was a process. I fell today and hurt my knee. Some of the water from the carpet machine made my hardwood floors slippery. Ouch. It is more like a burn, than anything, but it is right on my knee cap.
I cleaned both bathrooms. I literally got on my hands and knees and scrubbed with my favorite Clorox wipes. I wipes down every spot on my vanity (which is a piece of furniture with the bowl on top...very ornate) and every inch of my toilets. My bathrooms needed a really good scrubbin.
I also dried my curtains to get the pet dander and hair off, did some laundry and went grocery shopping today. I was very busy.
The Nolanator was pretty good today. He didn't have his listening ears on most of the day, but there wasn't any attitude. I would much have it that way, than the attitude. I miss that kid everyday when I'm not with him. Even on a bad day, when you wake up, it just doesn't seem that bad.
Tomorrow I am going to see my bro and their new little family. They want me to take some candids of them and we will probably have some dinner together. James and I are going to interview a new daycare lady tomorrow at 11:00. We really want something more educational for Nolan. I'm not exactly sure that this is what I am looking for. It is an in-home daycare, but she takes her job very seriously. There is a curriculum and is run more like a Center, than just letting the kids loose to do whatever.
It's a little of 12 AM now. Stayed up late last night with Cait and got up fairly early for not having a child to wake me. Since I'm sure he will be up at the butt crack of dawn, I better go get comfy in my bed.
Everyone enjoy their Sunday.

Jackson William is here!
So, just a quick post here. I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to my bro. They had a beautiful baby boy today at 6:30pm. I don't know the stats or anything yet, but I am happy that he is healthy. I hope to have more info tomorrow. Jessica was not having an easy labor with some serious complications on her part. Please keep her health in mind in the next coming days.
Have a great night!

4th of July weekend
We had a wonderful long weekend. It was great because James and I both had Friday off. For people who worked in retail, it is so awesome not to have to work holidays.
After work on Thursday, I took Nolan to go buy a few fireworks. I bought snaps, snakes and sparklers. James doesn't care much for 4th of July and I'm not really keen on lighting fireworks. Since he is 3, this is the best he is going to get from me.
I talked James into letting Nolan stay up past his bedtime. We are such routine junkies, that it was hard for him to say yes. We had one little mishap. Nolan was out wearing socks and he stepped on his snake. I am surprised that it wasn't completely out because it had been at least five minutes since we had set it on fire. He got a little blister on his foot. Poor guy. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day:
On Saturday and Sunday, we just hung out at the house. We did take Nolan to Toys R Us to see what he was interested. We are trying to see what he likes for his birthday. He is really into Batman, Speed Racer and Transformers. Oh yeah, on Saturday I took him to see Speed Racer. He was soooo excited. About an hour into it, he curled up on my lap and fell asleep. I couldn't believe he fell asleep during the movie. That just never happens. I carried him out and put him in his car seat. Right after I got him in, I dropped my stupid purse and it woke him up. Dangit.
I slept most of today away. I have been battling a horrible sinus infection for about 2 weeks now. I just finished 10 days worth of antibiotics and it didn't help. I have had a headache behind my eye that just won't go away. I am going to have to head back to the doctor this week. My whole family has been horribly sick this last year. Most of it has been allergies, but it has hit our house very hard. I am ready for it to go away.
Hope everyone has a great work week. I did scrap a little this weekend and will post those later this week. I am ready just to go to bed.
