Easter pictures-A week later

Aaahhh Friday....friday, friday, friday.......

Thank goodness you're here. Oh, how I've missed you. Bring on the weekend. It has been a rough week. My son has been a pain-in-the-neck to get up this week. We're talkin', laying on the floor crying because I won't carry him around. He Nev-ver, Ev-ver, does that. Thank goodness Grandma came over today, so he could wake up on his own time.
The work week is over. It has been so long this week. The sun was shining earlier this week and it has just gone down hill. No more 5:45 mornings. At least now I can get up around 8 or later. Nolan at least gives me that.
I'm kinda pissy today because I wanted to spend the day with just my husband tomorrow. I was really looking forward to it. We need just some "Us" time. He was really pissy today when I talked to him on the phone (we work for the same company) and he told me he was just having a bad day. Well, he has to work tomorrow and they told him he had to work on Monday too, which is one of his vacation days. He could really use this time off to help the issue in the next paragraph.
Okay, a little background as to why I'm pissy. James has been having severe back spasms the last month. You can actually feel the muscle and can lightly touch it and set it off. He has been going to work, when he should be at home, trying to help them out. (it is always busy at the end of the month) Well, he always works way more than he should and they DO treat him GOOD, but they are making him work when they know he should be home resting. It is just a shocker because they always take care of him and this time they really, truely need to be taking care of him.

On to something different.
I had a really good question to ask, and darnit, I forgot. Ugh....I was thinking I should right it down, but I didn't.
James and I took Nolan swimming today and out for dinner. He always has so much fun. We practically have to drag him out of the pool. He was walking around, twirling around to some acquatic class music, spashing around and doing whatever his little heart desired in that pool. After we went swimming, we headed over to Denny's for dinner. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with a salad. No fries! And I have been caffeine free for 21 days!! YEAH!!! We got home, Nolan took a shower-bath and he was out like a light! Yes!!!!!
Well, I'm off to watch me some Super Bad. That is the funniest movie, if you're into sarcasm and teenage sex jokes. It is definitely worth the watch.

Plowin' thru the week

Well it's Wednesday, as if you didn't know that. Work is the same ol' stuff. Nothing new there.
On the home front is has been different. Steff got me thinking that maybe taking Nolan to the gym isn't being a horrible mother. Thanks Steff! We have been going since we talked. Nolan doesn't seem to mind much, he just turns into a monster when we leave. It is something about his attitude when we walk out the gym door that just goes down hills. Ugh..Yesturday, he had a total meltdown for the rest of the night because he had to wear his seatbelt. WTH? He has never gotten away with not wearing it. This is not something new. Today, he had a meltdown because I wouldn't give him a snack right when we got home. Hello, he just ate an hour ago at daycare. Dude, they are so temperamental.
I went to bed early yesterday and James went to be really early tonight. I went to bed at about 830 and he went to bed at 515....seriously..... This man can really, really sleep. I have no idea how he does it.
I am ready for the weekend. I want a weekend of nothing to do. No laundry, no cleaning, no nothing. I think I may send Nolan over to Grandma's and spend the day scrapping. There are a couple of design team calls that I have found that I am looking forward to entering.
So, if anyone reads this, where can I find some bright colored mixed buttons? I don't want to have to buy more than one bag, but it is looking like I may have to. Someone help me please.....
Well, the Nolanator is up out of bed, so before Katrina blows my head up from her stare...I better put him back to bed. Peace and chicken grease!!!!!

New Blog Layout

As you can see, I have changed my blog template. I am sure lovin' it. It was time for a little somethin' new. It took a little while since I had to add all my blog links back in, but well worth it.
Today we did some grocery shopping and took Nolan to see the Easter Bunny.

He was sure winey today. Ugh...he was driving James and I nuts. He had left his listening ears somewhere other than with him and he just was not having a good day. He was constantly up my butt all day long. Thanks goodness he is in bed and we can start fresh tomorrow!!! Whew.
Does anyone have any plans for Easter tomorrow? We are not doing anything special. My mom is coming over and will be staying for dinner. We are having BBQ chicken on the grill and potato salad. I will probably make my Ramen salad. It is so yummy and healthy!
We are going to color Easter eggs tomorrow. I got them boiled and ready to go. We just ran out of time today. Then we will do a little hiding and seeking of the eggs and just have some family time. Nothing to spectacular. I really don't go all out for any holiday, except Christmas. Love that time of year.
Well folks, I am over two weeks caffeine free and it's great. It is still really hard not to reach over and take a drink of James' Pepsi, but I haven't even cheated once.
Okay folks, gotta go. James is getting p.o.'d at me because Nolan still isn't asleep.

Well today was pretty boring at work as usual. I went to pick Mr. Nolan up and then we went to the Dollar Tree to get some Easter goodies. Umm.....he had me buy him a baby doll and bottle. Needless to say, James is not very pleased. Okay, seriously, this kid thinks that poop is funny. I am so not worried about a baby doll. In fact, he finds poop so funny that we actually use that word a lot when waking him up in the mornings. Poop and farts are just hilarious to him.
So we get home and I finally decided to make Jello jigglers an cut them into egg shapes. That went, o-kay....but it wasn't easy getting them out of the pan. I think my egg cookie cutter may have been to big. I got six out of the big box. There are seven kids, but one is like 4 months old. I got her a little stuffed elephant. I figured I would make Jello instead of making candy or something else super sweet since they will be getting treat bags and candy from their parents this weekend.
Nolan really wanted to play today and I just didn't have it in me. I just wanted to sit and relax a little. James was off balancing the check book, so he got pretty sad at me. I do feel bad about it, but my BFF just had a major relationship crisis and I really needed to be there for her.
Well, I got a little bit of laundry done and a load started, so that is a little less that I have to do this weekend. Yeah!!! It is now 9:30 and I think I am off to bed. If anyone has a chance, make sure and check out Silja's blog link. She is a pretty cool scraper. Her hair is Supa cute too!!

I promised Nolan that I would take him swimming today, but the pool at the YMCA is closed. Poop. So, instead of going swimming we headed next door to the library. He got 3 movies to watch. Not sure if he really wants to see them, or just randomly picked them out and said, "Here." I was looking for An Inconvenient Truth while James was helping him in the movie section.

We came home and through some dinner together. Nolan had some pizza and James and I had some tuna helper. I haven't had that in ages. I did really well, kept my portion down, and didn't have any ice cream for dessert.

I am just counting down the time for Nolan to go to bed so I can watch The Biggest Loser, Medium and The Real House Wives of New York. I think I have some Jon and Kate plus 8 on there too, but there is no way I can watch that much tv tonight.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy St. Patricks Day. Hope everyone is enjoying their green filled day. I did remember to wear green so I wouldn't get pinched.
Not much to report today. I picked Nolan up from daycare and then we headed to the gym. He was really excited to go. I took the first 30 minutes of a step class and then went and biked it for 20 minutes.
When I went to pick Nolan up from the kid zone, the instructor was there and she told me I did really and her class was really advance so not feel so bad that I couldn't get everything.
Well, the phones ringing. Gotta go.

Boring Day here....

I really didn't do a whole lot today. I got up and made cinnamon rolls for Nolan. Drank some juice while he gobbled them down. After that, I did a little laundry and fixed the towel holder that was yanked out of the wall a few months ago in the bathroom.
I made some meatloaf for dinner. It was yummy. Haven't had it in quite some time. I fixed some brownies for my mom. She came over and had dinner with us. After that I took my bath and now it is some serious down time for the family. We are all in our jammies and ready for bed. Not sure what time I will actually make it there, but ready to go at any time!
Tomorrow I am really going to try and make it to the gym. My fellow Wiki friend and I had a great talk and I am going to put my parental guilt aside and take my fat butt to the gym. I need that money to spend on me! How awesome would it be to have that and only have me to spend it on?
Well, I'm off to put the Nolanator to bed. Wish this working mother good luck for the work week.

No excuses, I haven't blogged

Well, let's see. Where should I begin? It has been a pretty slow week On Wednesday, I came home and Nolan and I had a picnic outside and played until James got home. We haven't spent much time as a family of 3 in quite some time. We took our shoes and socks off and just played. It was definitely refreshing.





On Friday I went out to the Attic and have a blast. I really needed some therapy and that was just the place to get it. I get to go and hang out with some great ladies and enjoy myself while relieving stress through scrapping. I met one of the girls from my wiki and it was awesome. It was a small group and I got a lot done. I was really proud of my work...probably some of the best I have done yet. Every time I leave I wonder why I don't get out there more. It is kinda a ways for me to drive, but the girls out there are so worth it!
Well peeps, I'm out for the night. Tomorrow is work around the house today. My BFF did all the laundry for me yesterday! OMG...now we all know how much I hate doing laundry. My weekend is looking up.

The week went where????

Hi all. I only miss work one day this week. Yeah!!! I am finally getting over the flu.....now I have a bladder infection. WTF???? I have never had one before, so luckily my doctor is open 1/2 a day on saturdays. I went and got that taken care of. They think I might have a kidney infection to, so they are doing a culture on it. Ugh....I will not let it get me down.
It has been such a long week. On friday, my mom came over and did some laundry and took James and the fam out for dinner at Red Robin. I love that place. The food is soooo yummy. The had the Red Robin character there, which Nolan loves, so he was supa excited. Of course I enjoyed my food and Nolan ate his whole pizza. He was such a piggy today, but that is okay since he never eats.
Today I went to the doctor like I said and helped around the house. I mostly did laundry all day. I did take a 2 hour nap. I still get tired pretty easy, but I am feeling much better. I made steak, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes and peas for dinner. Nolan loves the mashed sweet potatoes, so I made some just for him.
Not much is really happening here on the home front. It really has been a boring week. The most excitement we have had is our dog Sheba. She keeps climbing the fence and rolling around in some kind of poop. James has given her a bath twice this week and just gave her a peroxide, dawn and baking soda bath. She smelled soooo bad. It is so rediculous. He is about ready to kill her and she is his baby. Tomorrow he is off to get an electric fence because she just won't stay in the yard.
Well folks, I am off to read my new scrapbook etc magazine that I got in the mail today. Have a great weekend.

Things that make you go hmmm.....

So, I'm friggin' sick with the flu again. I was fine for James' birthday, but the next day I woke up feeling like crap. I went to work and the boss sent me to see the doc. Flu....again. Just great. I have tickets to Sesame Street live and a birthday party to take Nolan to this weekend. James took him to Sesame Street Live and Katrina took the kido's to the birthday party.
So, I took James to Outback Steakhouse for his birthday. It went okay. He was so tired from working so much this week. His boss, the only other person he works with, was out sick this week, so he was left to ship like 2 million for the company. I feel so bad for him. After our dinner, our waiter had the cooks made the ginormous sundae for us. It had vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, oreo cookies, lots of whipped cream and lots of cherrie's. YUMMY!!! The whole fam shared it.
Nolan did not make it through Sesame Street. About 1/2 through he gave up and wanted to go home. Good thing we didn't pay for the tickets or I would have been pretty ticked. They were $28 seats. He did get his picture taken with Zoe and Telly. He loves characters.
I did have to venture out and take the kids grocery shopping. James and I haven't shopped in 2 weeks, so there is nothing left in the house for dinner. They were soooo good for us. I was nauseated from my headache and flu, but we muddled through it. They each got to pick out a small toy which is something we really don't do very often. Considering it was a large shopping trip, they did fantastic.
Well.....lots else happened, but I have back-tracked so many times through this post, I should probably stop. I do have to say that this last week Nolan started calling us Mom and Dad and it is really pissing me off. Hello, you are 3. You should still be calling us mommy and daddy........he is getting big so fast.
